The idea is executed so perfectly. In the back of my head, I’m imagining this idea being pitched, produced and filmed in the span of a few days with the cast and crew working all sorts of hours.

As a hermity writer, I have come to place a lot of expectation on our live performances. It’s a tri-annual tradition, much like vacuuming one’s car for sand, soil and desiccated coconut - if I did it more often, it probably wouldn’t drive me to drink so much.

This is a beautifully written sketch/series for readers and writers, the sort that may well lovingly underline pet phrases and gut-punching prose in their paperbacks.

We have many shared influences, none more contemporary than Mitchell & Webb. For me in particular, I became a real Mitchell-head throughout high school and my early twenties, with an admiration for not only his seat-of-the-pants wisdom but the biting and florid language with which he makes his arguments.
